وَ السَّمَآءِ ذَاتِ الۡبُرُوۡجِ ۙ﴿۱﴾

ওয়াছ ছামাই যা-তিল বুরূজ।

শপথ রাশিচক্র সমন্বিত আকাশের,

By the heaven, holding the big stars.

وَ الۡیَوۡمِ الۡمَوۡعُوۡدِ ۙ﴿۲﴾

ওয়াল ইয়াওমিল মাও‘ঊদ।

এবং প্রতিশ্রুত দিনের,

And by the Promised Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection);

وَ شَاہِدٍ وَّ مَشۡہُوۡدٍ ؕ﴿۳﴾

ওয়া শা-হিদিওঁ ওয়া মাশহূদ।

শপথ দ্রষ্টা ও দৃষ্টের।

And by the witnessing day (i.e. Friday), and by the witnessed day [i.e. the day of 'Arafat (Hajj) the ninth of Dhul-Hijjah];

قُتِلَ اَصۡحٰبُ الۡاُخۡدُوۡدِ ۙ﴿۴﴾

কুতিলা আসহা-বুল উখদূদ ।

ধ্বংস হয়েছিল কুন্ডের অধিপতিরা –

Cursed were the people of the ditch (the story of the Boy and the King).

النَّارِ ذَاتِ الۡوَقُوۡدِ ۙ﴿۵﴾

আন্না-রি যা-তিল ওয়াকূদ।

ইন্ধনপূর্ণ যে কুন্ডে ছিল অগ্নি।

Fire supplied (abundantly) with fuel,

اِذۡ ہُمۡ عَلَیۡہَا قُعُوۡدٌ ۙ﴿۶﴾

ইযহুম ‘আলাইহা-কু‘ঊদ।

যখন তারা এর পাশে উপবিষ্ট ছিল;

When they sat by it (fire),

وَّ ہُمۡ عَلٰی مَا یَفۡعَلُوۡنَ بِالۡمُؤۡمِنِیۡنَ شُہُوۡدٌ ؕ﴿۷﴾

ওয়া হুম ‘আলা-মা-ইয়াফ‘আলূনা বিলমু’মিনীনা শুহূদ।

এবং তারা মু’মিনদের সাথে যা করেছিল তা প্রত্যক্ষ করছিল।

And they witnessed what they were doing against the believers (i.e. burning them).

وَ مَا نَقَمُوۡا مِنۡہُمۡ اِلَّاۤ اَنۡ یُّؤۡمِنُوۡا بِاللّٰہِ الۡعَزِیۡزِ الۡحَمِیۡدِ ۙ﴿۸﴾

ওয়া মা-নাকামূমিনহুম ইল্লাআইঁ ইউ’মিনূবিল্লা-হিল ‘আঝীঝিল হামীদ।

তারা তাদেরকে নির্যাতন করেছিল শুধু এ কারণে যে, তারা সেই মহিমাময় পরাক্রান্ত প্রশংসাভাজন আল্লাহর প্রতি ঈমান এনেছিল।

They had nothing against them, except that they believed in Allah, the All-Mighty, Worthy of all Praise!

الَّذِیۡ لَہٗ مُلۡکُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَ الۡاَرۡضِ ؕ وَ اللّٰہُ عَلٰی کُلِّ شَیۡءٍ شَہِیۡدٌ ؕ﴿۹﴾

আল্লাযী লাহূমুলকুছ ছামা-ওয়া-তি ওয়াল আরদি ওয়াল্লা-হু ‘আলা-কুল্লি শাইয়িন শাহীদ।

আকাশমন্ডলী ও পৃথিবীর সার্বভৌমত্ব যাঁর, আর আল্লাহ সর্ব বিষয়ে দ্রষ্টা।

Who, to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness over everything.

اِنَّ الَّذِیۡنَ فَتَنُوا الۡمُؤۡمِنِیۡنَ وَ الۡمُؤۡمِنٰتِ ثُمَّ لَمۡ یَتُوۡبُوۡا فَلَہُمۡ عَذَابُ جَہَنَّمَ وَ لَہُمۡ عَذَابُ الۡحَرِیۡقِ ﴿ؕ۱۰﴾

ইন্নাল্লাযীনা ফাতানুলমু’মিনীন ওয়াল মু’মিনা-তি ছু ম্মা লাম ইয়াতূবূফালাহুম ‘আযা-বু জাহান্নামা ওয়া লাহুম ‘আযা-বুল হারীক।

যারা বিশ্বাসী নর নারীকে বিপদাপন্ন করেছে এবং পরে তাওবাহ করেনি, তাদের জন্য আছে জাহান্নামের শাস্তি ও দহন যন্ত্রণা (নির্ধারিত) রয়েছে।

Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire.

اِنَّ الَّذِیۡنَ اٰمَنُوۡا وَ عَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ لَہُمۡ جَنّٰتٌ تَجۡرِیۡ مِنۡ تَحۡتِہَا الۡاَنۡہٰرُ ۬ؕؑ ذٰلِکَ الۡفَوۡزُ الۡکَبِیۡرُ ﴿ؕ۱۱﴾

ইন্নাল্লাযীনা আ-মানূওয়া ‘আমিলুসসা-লিহা-তি লাহুম জান্না-তুন তাজরী মিন তাহতিহাল আনহা-রু যা-লিকাল ফাওঝুল কাবীর।

যারা ঈমান আনে ও সৎ কাজ করে তাদের জন্যই আছে জান্নাত, যার নিম্নে স্রোতস্বিনী প্রবাহিত; এটাই সুমহান, সফলকাম।

Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them will be Gardens under which rivers flow (Paradise). That is the great success.

اِنَّ بَطۡشَ رَبِّکَ لَشَدِیۡدٌ ﴿ؕ۱۲﴾

ইন্না বাতশা রাব্বিকা লাশাদীদ।

তোমার রবের শাস্তি বড়ই কঠিন।

Verily, (O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) the Grip (Punishment) of your Lord is severe.

اِنَّہٗ ہُوَ یُبۡدِئُ وَ یُعِیۡدُ ﴿ۚ۱۳﴾

ইন্নাহূহুওয়া ইউবদিউ ওয়া ইউ‘ঈদ।

তিনিই অস্তিত্ব দান করেন ও পুনরাবর্তন ঘটান,

Verily, He it is Who begins (punishment) and repeats (punishment in the Hereafter) (or originates the creation of everything, and then repeats it on the Day of Resurrection).

وَ ہُوَ الۡغَفُوۡرُ الۡوَدُوۡدُ ﴿ۙ۱۴﴾

ওয়া হুওয়াল গাফূরুল ওয়াদূদু।

এবং তিনি ক্ষমাশীল, প্রেমময়,

And He is Oft-Forgiving, full of love (towards the pious who are real true believers of Islamic Monotheism),

ذُو الۡعَرۡشِ الۡمَجِیۡدُ ﴿ۙ۱۵﴾

যুল ‘আরশিল মাজীদ।

আরশের অধিপতি মহিমময়,

Owner of the throne, the Glorious

فَعَّالٌ لِّمَا یُرِیۡدُ ﴿ؕ۱۶﴾

ফা‘‘আ-লুলিলমা-ইউরীদ।

তিনি যা ইচ্ছা করেন তা’ই করে থাকেন,

He does what He intends (or wills).

ہَلۡ اَتٰىکَ حَدِیۡثُ الۡجُنُوۡدِ ﴿ۙ۱۷﴾

হাল আতা-কা হাদীছুল জুনূদ।

তোমার নিকট কি পৌঁছেছে সৈন্য বাহিনীর বৃত্তান্ত –

Has the story reached you of the hosts,

فِرۡعَوۡنَ وَ ثَمُوۡدَ ﴿ؕ۱۸﴾

ফির‘আওনা ওয়া ছামূদ।

ফির‘আউন ও ছামূদের?

Of Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and Thamud?

بَلِ الَّذِیۡنَ کَفَرُوۡا فِیۡ تَکۡذِیۡبٍ ﴿ۙ۱۹﴾

বালিল্লাযীনা কাফারূফী তাকযীব ।

তবু কাফিরেরা মিথ্যা আরোপ করায় রত,

Nay! The disbelievers (persisted) in denying (Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and his Message of Islamic Monotheism).

وَّ اللّٰہُ مِنۡ وَّرَآئِہِمۡ مُّحِیۡطٌ ﴿ۚ۲۰﴾

ওয়াল্লা-হু মিওঁ ওয়ারাইহিম মুহীত।

এবং আল্লাহ তাদের পরিবেষ্টন করে রয়েছেন।

And Allah encompasses them from behind! (i.e. all their deeds are within His Knowledge, and He will requite them for their deeds).

بَلۡ ہُوَ قُرۡاٰنٌ مَّجِیۡدٌ ﴿ۙ۲۱﴾

বাল হুওয়া কুরআ-নুমমাজীদুন।

এটা কুরআন,

Nay! This is a Glorious Quran,

فِیۡ لَوۡحٍ مَّحۡفُوۡظٍ ﴿٪۲۲﴾

ফী লাওহিম মাহফূজ।

সংরক্ষিত ফলকে লিপিবদ্ধ।

(Inscribed) in Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz (The Preserved Tablet)!
